Introducing: Stock Sync — Multi-Channel Inventory Management for South African Sellers
If you sell on more than one platform, keeping stock levels accurate everywhere is one of the hardest parts of running your business. Stock Sync solves this — it automatically keeps your inventory in sync across all your sales channels in real time, so you never oversell again.
Why Multi-Channel Stock Management Is So Difficult
Selling on multiple platforms like Takealot, Shopify, Amazon, and WooCommerce means your stock can quickly get out of sync. A sale on one channel doesn't automatically update the others, which leads to:
- Overselling — accepting orders you can't fulfil, resulting in cancelled orders and potential platform penalties
- Manual busywork — logging into every seller portal after each sale to adjust quantities
- Errors — forgetting to update a channel after a restock or return
The more channels you sell on, the worse the problem gets.
How Stock Sync Works
When a sale happens on any connected platform, Palmetrics automatically updates the available stock on all your other channels. If a customer buys a product on Shopify, the stock on Takealot, Amazon, and WooCommerce is reduced accordingly — all without any manual intervention.
To keep things consistent, one of your channels is designated as your stock source of truth. This is where you make all stock adjustments, such as adding new inventory or correcting levels. Changes from your source of truth are synced everywhere else automatically. Manual stock adjustments made on other channels (not triggered by orders) are ignored to prevent conflicts.
You can even use Palmetrics itself as your source of truth for fully centralised inventory control, with bulk stock uploads via CSV.
Key Benefits
- Prevent overselling — All your channels stay in agreement, so you never accept orders you can't fulfil.
- Save time — No more manually updating stock on each platform after every sale, return, or stock adjustment.
- Centralised inventory dashboard — Monitor stock levels across all your channels from one place.
Supported Platforms
Supported: Takealot, Amazon, Shopify & WooCommerce
Coming soon: Makro, Cin7, Zoho
It won't start syncing anything until you ask us to enable it. Need an integration we don't support yet? Let us know — your feedback helps us prioritise what to build next.
Sync Product Costs Too
In addition to stock, Palmetrics can sync product costs from Shopify and WooCommerce. This gives you accurate profit margins and enables markup-based auto-pricing that adjusts automatically when your costs change. Read more about Cost Sync.
Pricing
Stock sync is currently free to use on any active subscription while we finalise pricing. You'll have at least one month's notice before any charges begin, giving you time to evaluate the value it provides.
