Connect Your Account

The first step is to create a Palmetrics account and connect your Takealot seller profile. Once connected, Palmetrics will import your products, orders, and sales data automatically.

What you need

• A Takealot Seller account
• Your Takealot API key — see How to find your Takealot API key

Sign up and connect Takealot

1. Go to app.palmetrics.co.za and create an account
2. When creating your company, enter your Takealot API key when prompted
3. Palmetrics will begin importing your Takealot data

A Takealot account is required to use Palmetrics. You cannot create a company without connecting a Takealot account.

Wait for your data to import

After connecting, Palmetrics imports your products and historical sales data. This may not be instant — see Account Importing for details on what to expect during the import process.

Optional: Connect additional channels

If you also sell on Amazon, Shopify, or WooCommerce, you can connect those channels from the Settings page after your Takealot data has imported.

WARNING

Before connecting a non-Takealot integration, ensure the SKUs on Palmetrics exactly match the SKUs on the other platform, otherwise Palmetrics will treat them as separate products.
