Managing Integrations

Palmetrics connects to multiple selling channels so you can manage products, pricing, and stock from a single dashboard. This guide covers how to connect, check the status of, and disconnect your integrations.

Connecting an integration

Takealot

Takealot is the core integration and is connected during company creation — it cannot be added later as a separate step.

  1. Sign up at app.palmetrics.co.za
  2. When creating your company, enter your Takealot API key when prompted
  3. Palmetrics will begin importing your Takealot data

A Takealot account must be linked to use Palmetrics. You cannot create a company without connecting a Takealot account.

Other integrations (Amazon, Shopify, WooCommerce)

Additional integrations are connected from the Settings page:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Click "Add integration"
  3. Select the channel (Amazon, Shopify, or WooCommerce)
  4. Enter the required credentials for the platform

Each platform has different credential requirements — see the individual integration guides linked above for detailed steps.

WARNING

Before connecting a non-Takealot integration, ensure the SKUs on Palmetrics exactly match the SKUs on the other platform, otherwise Palmetrics will treat them as separate products.


Viewing integration status

You can view all connected integrations and their status on the Settings page. Each connected integration is listed with its current connection state.

  • Takealot appears under the "Takealot API" section
  • Other integrations appear as individual store entries

Disconnecting an integration

Takealot

Takealot works differently from other integrations when it comes to disconnecting:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Find the "Takealot API" section
  3. Click "Disconnect"

Disconnecting your Takealot account stops API access — Palmetrics will no longer be able to read or update information on your Takealot account, your API key will be deleted, and webhook updates will be rejected.

WARNING

Unlike other integrations, disconnecting Takealot does not unlink the company from the Takealot account. The company remains permanently associated with the original Takealot account. To re-connect, you must re-enter the API key for the same Takealot account.

Other integrations (Amazon, Shopify, WooCommerce)

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select the store you want to disconnect
  3. Click "Disconnect"

This will completely remove the store and its associated data:

  • All sales from the store will be deleted
  • Products that only exist on that store will be deleted
  • Products that also exist on other stores will not be deleted — only the data specific to the disconnected store will be removed

After disconnecting, you can connect a different store of the same type by following the normal setup process again.
