Installing the Palmetrics App ​

On Android, Palmetrics is available as an app on Google Play. On desktop, iPhone and iPad you can install the Palmetrics dashboard straight from your browser, so it gets its own icon and window and behaves like any other app.

Android ​

Palmetrics is on Google Play. Install it the same way you would any other app.

  1. Open the Palmetrics app on Google Play, or search for Palmetrics in the Play Store
  2. Tap Install
  3. Open the app and sign in with your Palmetrics details

TIP

Do not have an account yet? You can register directly in the app, no computer needed.

WARNING

On Android, your browser may still offer to "Install app" or "Add to Home screen" when you visit Palmetrics in Chrome. That installs a shortcut to the website, not the Palmetrics app, and it cannot send you notifications. Use the Play Store link above instead.

The app has everything the web dashboard has: repricing, stock, product listings, orders and sales analytics, all running on the same account and the same live data.

Desktop (Chrome) ​

  1. Open Palmetrics in Google Chrome
  2. Click the install icon in the address bar (it looks like a monitor with a down arrow)
  3. Click Install in the prompt that appears

Palmetrics will open in its own window and an app icon will be added to your desktop or taskbar. You can launch it from there going forward without opening your browser first.

TIP

On macOS, the app will also appear in Launchpad and Spotlight search. On Windows, it will be available in the Start menu.

Desktop (Edge) ​

  1. Open Palmetrics in Microsoft Edge
  2. Click the three-dot menu (⋯) in the top-right corner
  3. Select Apps → Install this site as an app
  4. Click Install

iPhone & iPad ​

There is no Palmetrics app on the App Store yet. You can still add the dashboard to your home screen and use it like an app.

  1. Open Palmetrics in Safari
  2. Tap the Share button (the square with an upward arrow)
  3. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen
  4. Tap Add in the top-right corner

On iOS, apps must be added through Safari. Chrome and other browsers on iOS do not support this feature.

Updating the App ​

  • Android — the Play Store updates the app for you. If you have automatic updates turned off, open the Play Store, go to Manage apps & device and update Palmetrics from there.
  • Desktop, iPhone and iPad — the installed dashboard updates automatically in the background. There is nothing to reinstall and no version to check.

Removing the App ​

Remove it the same way you would any other app on your device:

  • Android — Long-press the app icon and select Uninstall
  • Windows — Right-click the app in the Start menu and select Uninstall
  • macOS — Open Finder → Applications → right-click the app and select Move to Bin
  • iPhone / iPad — Long-press the app icon and tap Remove App → Delete App
