Takealot Integration ​

Palmetrics was built for Takealot sellers, and Takealot is the core integration. A Takealot account must be linked to use Palmetrics, and more features are available for Takealot than any other integration.

Stock Sync Available

Palmetrics can automatically sync stock levels across all your connected integrations to prevent overselling. Learn more or contact us at support@palmetrics.co.za or call +27 87 0125 689 to enable this.

What you can do with Takealot on Palmetrics ​

  • Auto-pricing / repricing to automatically compete for the buybox
  • Sync stock levels with other connected integrations as sales happen to avoid overselling (Please contact us to enable this)
  • Markup-based pricing to automatically calculate prices based on your product cost and desired margin
  • Products and orders from Takealot are pulled into and visible on Palmetrics
  • Updating Takealot prices on Palmetrics will push to Takealot
  • View Takealot sale fees per order
  • View sales analytics for all your channels
  • Generate customer invoices

How to connect ​

  1. Sign up for a Palmetrics account at app.palmetrics.co.za
  2. When creating your company, you'll be prompted to enter your Takealot API key — see how to find your Takealot API key
  3. Palmetrics will begin importing your Takealot data

Linking a Takealot account is a required step when creating a company — you cannot proceed without it.

Takealot FAQ ​

Can I connect multiple Takealot accounts to one Palmetrics company? ​

No. It is only possible to connect one Takealot account to one Palmetrics company. If you have two Takealot accounts, and you'd like to connect both simultaneously, you'll need to create a second company on Palmetrics.

Can I change which Takealot account is linked to a company? ​

No. Unlike other integrations, a Takealot account cannot be unlinked from a company after being linked. You can disconnect the API connection, but the company remains associated with that Takealot account.

Can I disconnect my Takealot account? ​

Yes. Go to Settings, find the "Takealot API" section, and click "Disconnect". This stops API access and deletes your Takealot API key from Palmetrics, but doesn't unlink the company from the Takealot account. To re-connect, re-enter your Takealot API key.
