Dynamic Columns

Tables across Palmetrics support dynamic columns, allowing you to choose exactly which columns are visible and in what order. This makes it easy to focus on the data that matters most to you and your team.

Customising Columns

To change which columns are displayed on a table:

  1. Click the Visible Columns button near the top-right of the table
  2. A panel will open showing your currently selected columns under the Selected tab
  3. To add new columns, switch to the Available tab using the dropdown at the top of the panel, or click the + Add Column button
  4. Available columns are organised into categories (e.g. General, Inventory, Sales, Listing, Buybox) — expand a category and tick the checkbox next to any column to add it
  5. To remove a column, click the button next to it in the Selected tab
  6. To reorder columns, use the up and down arrow buttons next to each column in the Selected tab
  7. Your changes are applied immediately to the table

TIP

Each column displays an icon indicating which integration it belongs to (e.g. Takealot, Amazon, Shopify, WooCommerce), making it easy to identify channel-specific data at a glance.

Column Header Shortcuts

You can also manage columns directly from the table header. Click on any column header to open a shortcut menu with the following actions:

  • Sort Ascending / Descending — sort the table by that column
  • Move Column Left / Right — reorder the column without opening the Visible Columns panel
  • Hide Column — remove the column from the table
  • Add Column — open the column picker to add a new column

This is a quick way to sort, reorder, or remove columns without opening the full Visible Columns panel.

Column Presets

Once you have configured a set of columns that works for your workflow, you can save it as a Column Preset so you can switch back to it at any time. See Column Presets for full details on saving, switching, editing, and deleting presets.

Multi-Channel Views

If you have multiple integrations connected (e.g. Takealot, Shopify, Amazon), dynamic columns are particularly useful for building your own multi-channel views. You can combine columns from different channels into a single table layout, giving you a consolidated overview without switching between pages.

For example, you could create a preset that shows Takealot stock levels alongside Shopify sales data, or one that focuses on pricing across all your connected channels. Save each of these as a Column Preset to switch between them as needed.
