Cin7 Core Integration

Cin7 Core is the inventory management platform formerly known as DEAR Inventory. If you're still signing in at inventory.dearsystems.com, you're on the right platform — this guide applies to you.

Before you connect

Please make sure the SKUs on Palmetrics exactly match the SKUs on Cin7 Core, otherwise Palmetrics will consider them different products.

You'll also need:

  • An active Cin7 Core (or DEAR Inventory) account
  • Permission to create API integrations on that account

What you can do with Cin7 Core on Palmetrics

  • Use Cin7 Core as your inventory source of truth — Palmetrics pulls stock levels from Cin7 Core and keeps them up to date across all your connected sales channels
  • Sync orders from your sales channels back into Cin7 Core automatically, so your inventory system stays up to date without manual data entry
  • Sync product costs from Cin7 Core into Palmetrics for accurate profit estimations and markup-based pricing
  • Markup-based pricing to automatically calculate prices based on your product cost and desired margin
  • View sales analytics for all your channels alongside your Cin7 Core data

How to connect Cin7 Core to Palmetrics

To connect, you'll create a new API integration on the Cin7 Core side and paste its Account ID and Account Key into Palmetrics.

Open the Cin7 Core integration on Palmetrics

Go to Settings, click Add integration, and select Cin7 Core as the channel. A modal will open asking for an Account ID and Account Key.

Is this the same as DEAR Inventory?

Yes. DEAR Inventory was rebranded to Cin7 Core. If your account still uses the inventory.dearsystems.com URL, this guide applies to you — the API setup flow is the same.

Can I connect multiple Cin7 Core accounts to one Palmetrics company?

No. At present, it is only possible to connect one Cin7 Core account to one Palmetrics company. If you need to connect more than one, create a second company on Palmetrics and repeat the setup.

Can I disconnect Cin7 Core?

Yes. Go to Settings, select your Cin7 Core connection, and click Disconnect. Palmetrics will stop syncing with the account and the associated data will be removed. Products that also exist on other connected stores will not be deleted — only the Cin7 Core–specific data will be wiped from those products.

What happens if I regenerate the API key in Cin7 Core?

The existing Palmetrics connection will stop working because the old key will no longer be valid. See API Key Changes for how to update your credentials on Palmetrics.
