Before you connect

Please make sure the SKUs on Palmetrics exactly match the SKUs on Makro, otherwise Palmetrics will consider them different products.

You'll also need:

  • An active Makro Marketplace seller account at seller.makro.co.za
  • Admin access on that account so you can add a new user

How to connect Makro to Palmetrics

Makro's marketplace API is accessed through a user account on the seller portal. To connect, you'll add a new user to your Makro account using a unique email address that Palmetrics generates for you.

Open the Makro integration on Palmetrics

Go to Settings, click Add integration, and select Makro as the channel. A modal will open with a unique email address generated for your Makro user.

Can I connect multiple Makro accounts to one Palmetrics company?

No. At present, it is only possible to connect one Makro account to one Palmetrics company. If you have two Makro Marketplace accounts, and you'd like to connect both simultaneously, you'll need to create a second company on Palmetrics. Each Palmetrics company will generate its own unique email address, so you'll need to add a separate custom user on each Makro account.

Can I disconnect Makro?

Yes. Go to Settings, select your Makro store, and click Disconnect. This will completely remove the store from Palmetrics. All sales from the store will be deleted. Products that only exist on Makro will be deleted. Products that also exist on other connected stores will not be deleted, and only the Makro-specific data will be wiped from the product.

Do I need to keep the custom Makro user active?

Yes. The Palmetrics sync depends on the custom user you added on Makro. If that user is deleted or deactivated, Palmetrics will no longer be able to reach your Makro account and the sync will break.

Can I reuse the same custom user for multiple Palmetrics integrations?

No. Each Palmetrics company generates its own unique email address. If you have more than one Palmetrics company connected to the same Makro account, each will need its own custom user on Makro.
