Google Sheets Integration ​

Our team sets up the Google Sheets integration for you. Contact us using the in-app chat, email support@palmetrics.co.za or call +27 87 0125 689 to get started.

The Google Sheets integration keeps a Google Sheet up to date with your latest Palmetrics data every hour. There's no file to download, so your sheet is always ready for reporting, sharing with your team or building your own formulas.

It's included in all Palmetrics plans at no extra cost.

Before you start ​

You'll need a Google account with access to Google Sheets.

If you'd like Palmetrics to read prices and costs from your sheet, please make sure the SKUs in your sheet exactly match the SKUs on Palmetrics, otherwise Palmetrics won't be able to match them to your products.

What you can do with Google Sheets on Palmetrics ​

  • Get your products and Buybox tracker data in your sheet every hour, with no files to download
  • Have Palmetrics read costs, selling prices and min and max prices from your sheet (please contact us to enable this)
  • Push selling prices from your sheet to your connected sales channels
  • Keep your costs up to date for accurate profit estimations and markup-based pricing

Hourly exports ​

Every hour, Palmetrics writes your latest product and Buybox tracker data to your Google Sheet. Our team sets up the layout with you, so the export includes the data you need.

Reading prices and costs from your sheet ​

On request, we can also switch on reading from your sheet. Once it's on, Palmetrics checks your sheet every hour and updates:

  • Costs, used for your profit estimations and markup-based pricing
  • Selling prices, which Palmetrics pushes to your connected sales channels
  • Min and max prices, used by auto-pricing when competing for the Buybox

Each row is matched to a product by SKU, so the SKUs in your sheet must exactly match the SKUs on Palmetrics.

Contact us

Let us know that you would like to use the Google Sheets integration, and whether Palmetrics should also read prices and costs from your sheet. We will send you the Palmetrics email address to share your sheet with.

Google Workspace accounts

If your sheet belongs to a Google Workspace organisation, your administrator may have turned off sharing with people outside your organisation. If Google Sheets won't let you share with the Palmetrics email address, ask your administrator to allow it.

How often is my sheet updated? ​

Every hour. Palmetrics writes your latest product and Buybox tracker data to your sheet automatically, so there's nothing to download.

How quickly do changes in my sheet reach Palmetrics? ​

If reading prices and costs is switched on, Palmetrics checks your sheet every hour, so your changes are picked up within the hour. New selling prices are then pushed to your connected sales channels.

Why wasn't a price or cost from my sheet picked up? ​

Check that the SKU in that row exactly matches the product's SKU on Palmetrics, and that your sheet is still shared with the Palmetrics email address as an Editor. If it's still not updating, contact us and we'll take a look.

Can I stop Palmetrics from accessing my sheet? ​

Yes. Remove the Palmetrics email address from your sheet's sharing settings and Palmetrics will no longer be able to read or update it. Please let us know too, so we can switch off the integration on your account.

Does the Google Sheets integration cost extra? ​

No. It's included in all Palmetrics plans at no extra cost.
